110 Bus Route Extension & Realignment

2/8/2026

The TRT 110 route will be extended north towards New West Tristis, The Point portion of the route will also be diverted from Ashley Road to its new alignment on South Local Street. It will continue over the Local Bridge onto Points End Street. The temporary terminus of the route will be at the New West Tristis Metro station. The route is planned to be further extended in the near future.

A direct connection from West Tristis to Points End has been missing since the Green Line Improvement Project deemed the Points End Green Line station, one of the oldest stations in the system, as unsafe and impractical to rebuild given the geography of Points End.

"The 110 is a backbone of our bus network, and extending it to the north side is going to provide an obious and extraordinary benefit for connecting more locally into Points End," said the TRT Head of Transportation Planning. "It's going to take pressure off of the very crowded Red Line, especially Points End station which is already small, while giving people a one seat ride to one of the busiest places in the city."

The 110s previous alignment along Ashley Road forces buses to divert north-south, slowing down trips and forcing unnecessary turns. The new alignment along South Local Street will make trips more straight forward, and improve the time to get to and from Points End. Additionally, due to the historic small streets and tight curves of Points End, this routing will make it possible for buses to use the Local Bridge.

This service change will go into effect on February 9th, 2026. Rider feedback can be submitted in the Contact Us portion of the website.
